Captain Randy De Anda


Captain DeAnda has been a police officer for 31 years; 25 years of which have been with the Rialto Police Department.

Captain De Anda possesses a Bachelors Degree in Workforce Education and Development and he is a graduate of the POST Executive Leadership Command College and the Police Executive Research Forum (PERF) Senior Management Institute for Police.

Captain De Anda has held assignments to include; Field Training Officer, Detective, Narcotics, and the Street Crime Attack Team (SCAT). While working with SCAT he was involved in several narcotic sting operations, gang and parole sweeps, search warrants, and other high profile cases. He has testified as an expert in gangs and narcotics and is a member of California Gang Investigators' Association and the California Narcotics Officers' Association.

Captain De Anda provides leadership and supervision over the Area Command Program and has been involved in several Area Command Projects. These projects include: the first City of Rialto gang injunction, the beautification of Citrus Grove housing complex and other multi-housing developments, nuisance abatement involving Scores Bar, Oakwood Lounge, El Patio Night Club, and medical marijuana dispensaries. Captain De Anda is also involved in many other community events such as Neighborhood Watch, National Night Out, faith-based organizations, and business organizations.
